In a year marked by Covid-19, the GAIA Music Festival does not remain unscathed. After postponing the festival in May 2020 and moving it to September in the hope that we could gather and play, we sadly have to cancel this year's festival and hope for better times in 2021. We will offer one concert to a reduced audience as a mark of our continued appreciation and thanks for the support of so many of you and as a sign that we are still here and hopeful of presenting our homage to Beethoven in 2021.
Joining Gwendolyn to play Schubert's Octet are Ilya Gringolts, Tomoko Akasaka, Benedict Kloeckner, Lars Schaper, Reto Bieri, Rui Lopes and Tomas Gallart.
The concert will begin with the premiere of a film tracing GAIA's 11-year history to date.
