Where have they gone—the romantics, the longing dreamers of our time? Between the 1st and 5th of May 2019 they were at Lake Thun.
Time and time again I see that our music festival, GAIA, is a romantic solution to a goal-oriented, detached society. But, its only possible because GAIA was born under a bright star of friendship, and therefore, it enacts a sense of community.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to send thanks to the people who create GAIA each year with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. To the musicians, the volunteers, my friends from the committee, our director and above all, our tireless president Christoph Ott. My sincere thanks also goes to the main sponsor UBS, numerous foundations and other sponsors, the public sector and the generous private individuals whose generosity made this year's GAIA possible.
The 11th edition entitled "Longing", with its eight concerts, was a great success with many musical highlights and surprises.
The next GAIA Music Festival in Oberhofen will take place from 29 April to 3 May 2020. We would be pleased to welcome you again.
