Like everything else, The Exhale has been impacted by the necessary measures against the spread of COVID-19. During a time when the live music experience has, by and large, little option other than to admit defeat, Gwendolyn Masin has decided to rise to the challenge. As Goethe wrote, “fresh activity is the only means of overcoming adversity”. The Exhale moves online as of April 27th 2020.
Instead of cancelling The Exhale, Gwendolyn has moved The Exhale onto an online platform. With an expanded faculty and a repurposed curriculum, the course is even more comprehensive than before, with the added advantage of being accessible to a wider audience.
With more than 1000 bookings for The Exhale's masterclasses and workshops in its opening two weeks online, the enthusiastic response demonstrates the need musicians feel to come together, to learn, share insights, and draw encouragement and inspiration from world-class artists, and also one another.
This is a time for sharing and growing together. The Exhale will be donating a portion of its participant donations to selected charities.
