Legends is a collaborative project in partnership with GAIA Music Festival, Orchid Classics and SRF Kultur. The album features works by Henryk, Józef and Irene Wieniawki, Eugène Ysaÿe, George Enesco and performances by Gwendolyn, soprano Rachel Harnisch, violinist Kirill Troussov, pianist Jan Philip Schulze, and violist Markus Fleck. It is released on 18 November 2022 on Orchid Classics, as well as digitally on most platforms.

Fritz Kreisler penned his work, "La Gitana", as an homage to Spanish folk music. Kreisler is acclaimed for his virtuosity and compositional skills.

Pablo de Sarasate's, "Gypsy Airs", quotes the popular Hungarian song, "Csak egy szép lány van a világon," (There’s Only One Lovely Maid in the World). This song was one of Gwendolyn's grandmother's favorites and part of the reason she chose to record the work for ORIGIN.

Grigoraş Dinicu’s, "Hora Staccato", is a work that is feared and respected in equal parts by violinists. It's complex but undeniably delightful. Even more compelling than the complexity of sound is the verve and dynamic soulfulness with which Gwendolyn approaches the piece.

The drama of violinist and composer Eugène Ysaÿe’s work is mirrored in Gwendolyn Masin’s intense and considered performance. She not only interprets the Ballade but is in dialogue with its very essence – the telling of a story, the crafting of a narrative, breathing new life into the legacy of a great master.
